Jim Hearn is the founding Partner, Executive Managing Director, and member of the Investment Committee at ApexOne Investment Partners, which he established in 2011. He focuses primarily on investment strategy, investor relations, and capital raising for the firm’s funds and special assignments. With over 39 years of experience in the real estate industry, Jim has closed more than $5.5 billion in multifamily transactions while representing ApexOne, Hendricks & Partners, Allied Realty Services, and Eton Financial Group.
Jim is an active member of several industry organizations, including the National Multifamily Housing Council, National Apartment Association, Urban Land Institute, and the Houston Apartment Association. He is also deeply involved in charitable efforts through the Spirit Golf Association and Whispering Pines Golf Club.
A proud alumnus of Gustavus Adolphus College (Class of 1982), Jim frequently returns to campus for speaking engagements related to business and entrepreneurship. He serves as a mentor to student-athletes in the college’s Mentorship Program. As a student, he was a standout collegiate tennis player, contributing to two NCAA National Championship teams and winning an NCAA doubles title in 1981, along with four conference singles and doubles titles. He was inducted into the Gustavus Adolphus Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003. Jim went on to play professional tennis for two years before launching his real estate career in 1985.
Combining his passion for real estate and golf, Jim is a principal at Triumph Golf, a boutique owner-operator of golf clubs.
Jim is married to his wife, Harriet, and is a proud stepfather to two sons and grandfather to four grandchildren.
